Manuel Pellegrini says Burnley deserve great praise for holding his Manchester City side at the Etihad.

City raced into a 2-0 lead but had to settle for a draw after the Clarets' comeback.

Despite the disappointment of failing to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea, Pellegrini focused on today's opponents.

"We didn't play well in the second half and Burnley is a brave team that always tries to attack and always go forward so it's difficult for teams to try to beat them," said Pellegrini.
