Former Kerry footballer Paul Galvin is looking to make a switch from one Dublin club to another, and could join up with some of the stars of Jim Gavin's side in the process.

The 37-year-old has apparently lodged a request asking to move from Kilmacud Crokes on the city's south side, where he currently plays, to St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh in Ashtown.

Galvin secured a move from Lixnaw in Kerry to Crokes in order to play hurling, but he has applied for another switch to St. Oliver Plunkett's in both codes. According to the Irish Independentthe Dublin County Board is set to approve the move in due course.

There's no shortage of star players already in the squad, given that both Alan and Bernard Brogan play for St. Plunkett's, while former All-Ireland winner Paul Curran is currently the manager.

They will be hoping that the addition of Galvin to the squad will strengthen their chase for a first county football title in the new year.
