Over 400 GAA players last night took part in the Gaelic Voices for Change homeless sleep-out.

The sleep-out had been organised by both current and former inter-county football, hurling and camogie players, who united under the organisation "Gaelic Voices for Change".

Taking place from 6pm to 6am, the event took place in nine locations throughout Ireland, as well as New York, Boston, and Quebec, and raised over €177,000 for charities including the Peter McVerry Trust, DePaul Ireland, the Simon Communities, Focus Ireland and the Capuchin Day Centre, Cope Galway, Thomand House and Novas in Limerick, and the Welcome Organisation in Belfast.
