Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says his old Newcastle boss Mike Ashley was the first to text him and congratulate him on last night's victory over Tottenham.

His side came from behind to win 2-1 in Pardew's first Premier League game in charge of Palace.

He says it was a wonderful night at Selhurst Park.
