Padraig Harrington rolled back the years this afternoon at Baltusrol to storm into contention at the US PGA Championship, carding a third round of 65.
The 2008 PGA Championsip winner picked up five birdies on his way to a bogey free third round and shot himself into the top 10 before play was suspended due to inclement weather.
The 44-year-old picked up back-to-back birdies on five and six before really getting going on the back nine. He picked up shots on 12 and 14 before finishing out a magnificent round with a final birdie.
Harrington is the sole Irish competitor to make the weekend and began the day in 61st. He sits five shots behind joint-leaders Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb.
