Arsenal managed to claw back a draw from the jaws of defeat in yesterday's North London derby, but former Ireland defender Paddy Mulligan feels the Gunners are still not learning from their mistakes at the back.

Tottenham's Harry Kane caught Arsenal's defenders out of position for the opening goal as he was played in behind and Mulligan told the Rewind podcast that Arsene Wenger's side are showing no signs of fixing those slip ups at the back.

"They're not correcting it. You can get caught once, twice. But you can't get caught three, four, five or six times as Arsenal has been caught. You've got to learn sometime," he said.

"How Mertesacker, who was a German international and won the World Cup, is getting caught as badly as he is - and Koscielny - Koscielny went to play offside. The stupidity of it. I've never seen anything so ridiculous in all my life. Steve Bould is the coach there, who was a smashing centre-half, who should be telling these lads to stay with the runner. That's the golden rule. You stay with your runner."
