Ulster may have relinquished a 14 point gap and top spot in the Rabo Pro 12 last night, but Paddy Jackson did vanquish some of his demons.

After a difficult week which saw the 21-year-old convert one out of four kicks against Scotland in a disappointing Six Nations defeat last Sunday, Jackson responded in style by kicking 19 points.

The Ulster fly-half had relinquished kicking duties to Ruan Pienaar at the turn of the year but after talks between his province and the Ireland set up, he was given the opportunity by Mark Anscombe ahead of the Six Nations clash with France.

Jackson kicked five penalties and two conversions from nine as Ulster drew 29 - 29 with Trevsio at Ravenhill despite holding a 17 - 3 lead at one point.

In the battle for the No 10 jersey, Ronan O'Gara will get another chance to audition for the Ireland out-half position as he starts for Munster against the Ospreys at Thomond Park from 6.30pm.
