Kerry's Darran O'Sullivan has shrugged off suggestions that he has effectively become a professional inter-county player.

This morning's papers featured interviews with O'Sullivan, who revealed that he had quit his job with Ulster Bank in order to concentrate on solving his recent injury problems and focus on regaining his place on the Kerry starting side.

But the 28-year-old has denied claims that he is now a professional player - telling followers on twitter that he has left the bank in order to take up a position as an athlete mentor with Sky Sports that affords him a more flexible timetable that would allows him to rehab properly.
