The SuperBowl Champions New England Patriots, along with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Carolina Panthers are the only remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL. Four teams began Week 9 unbeaten, but Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos lost 27-24 to the Indianapolis Colts last night.

The Patriots remain the favourites to win the SuperBowl in February after their 27-10 win over Washington. Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes in the win as the Patriots move to 8-0.

The game of the weekend saw the unbeaten Carolina Panthers face the Green Bay Packers in a clash of potential SuperBowl contenders. Cam Newton has been possibly the most impressive player this season and was on hand again to guide his team to a 37-29 win despite a late rally from the Packers.

The Denver Broncos were the last unbeaten team to play in Week 9 and after wins for the Bengals on Thursday and the Patriots and Panthers earlier yesterday, the pressure was on Peyton Manning to deliver against his old team in Indianapolis. Despite trailing 17-0 before an amazing 83 yard touchdown run from Omar Bolden, a Manning inspired comback was not enough for the Broncos as they lost by three points.

The Arizona Cardinals had a bye week and remain with a 6-2 record. They have been joined at 6-2 by the Minnesota Vikings. Teddy Bridgewater's team beat the St Louis Rams 21-18 in overtime.
