The elation on Aidan O'Mahony's face was evident to see if the photos from Kerry's All Ireland win are anything to go by.

But the 34-year-old also spoke of the the turbulent league campaign which has been portrayed as a dark time, although O'Mahony felt the "ferocious" training from that period helped Kerry overcome adversity.

He was speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan about feeling rejuvenated during this year's Championship and also discussed what it was like to mark Donegal's  Michael Murphy and what Eamonn Fitzmaurice has done to lift the Kingdom:
