Irish Olympic silver medallist Paul O'Donovan is enjoying life after Rio after he notched victory in the World Rowing Championships this evening.

Paul, brother of fellow Olympic hero Gary, claimed victory in his heat of the lightweight men’s single sculls heats.

He cruised to victory in the third heat of the day to advance to Wednesday’s quarter-finals in Rotterdam.

The victory comes 10 days after he and his brother claimed silver in the men’s lightweight double sculls. He finished well clear of Japan’s Yuki Ikeda.
