France striker Olivier Giroud is not daunted by the task of trying to find the net with Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer standing between him and goal on Thursday.

Giroud scored twice against Iceland in the quarter-finals to book a mouth-watering semi-final against the world champions.

He scored in both Champions League matches for Arsenal last season against Neuer's Bayern Munich.

Internationally, he also found the net in the 2-0 friendly win over Germany in November, on the night of the Paris attacks.

"Manuel Neuer is a great goalkeeper but we also have great goalkeepers in France and within the national team. Obviously he is a key player in their squad but I have scored a few goals against him and I hope that my team-mates will do the same. Anyway, he is not an 'impenetrable wall,'" he said.
