The 2014 SSE Airtricity League is coming towards the halfway point and tonight Stuart Byrne and Roddy Collins joined us in studio to look back at the weekend's games and the state of play within the top division.

Roddy questioned a blind adherence to playing passing football without concentrating on other aspects of the game, explaining that some of his former Derry City players' best assets did not involve keeping the ball, highlighting the 5 - 2 defeat to St Patrick's Athletic.

As for the table, Stuey reckons that three of the current Top Four - Dundalk, St Pats and Shamrock Rovers - will be the ones battling for the title at season's end.

But he does not think Cork City will be able to sustain a title challenge in the second half of the season, while Roddy is tipping St Pats' to the likely champions ahead of Dundalk, because of their patient type of play.

Stuey also sees flaws in high-flying Dundalk because it will be hard to sustain their incredible early-season form.
