It was a busy night of action in the O'Byrne Cup with eight second round matches taking place across Leinster.

Offaly were leading Dublin by three points at half-time at Parnell Park. But the Dubs fought back to claim a 0-17 to 0-13 victory.

Kildare continued the defence of their O'Byrne Cup title with a 2-07 to 1-09 win over Carlow in Athy.

Meath ran out comfortable winners over Longford in Navan, beating their guests by 1-17  to 1-09.

The Laois footballers suffered another heavy defeat as Maynooth University overcame them by a 0-18 to 1-07 score.

Westmeath defeated DCU 3-11 to 2-13 but Wexford had a goal to spare over IT Carlow as they won out by 1-13 to 0-13.

DIT registered an impressive 3-10 to 1-12 victory over Wicklow in Bray.

In the late throw-in, UCD scored an stoppage time goal to beat their hosts Louth by 2-08 to 0-12.
