Sean O’Brien is considered a major doubt for the start of Ireland’s Six Nations campaign. The openside suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder during last night’s Pro12 win over Ulster.

If O’Brien has suffered a dislocated shoulder it would likely keep him out of action for up to six weeks, meaning he would miss Ireland’s opening two Six nations games against Scotland and Wales. The Six nations begins on February 2.

O’Brien suffered the injury in the 52nd minute, however Leinster still recorded a straightforward 19-6 win over their northern rivals at the RDS.

Jordi Murphy was the game’s only try scorer, crossing in the first half, with Jimmy Gopperth kicking Leinster’s remaining points.

Ulster's scores came from two Paddy Jackson penalties.

The win moves Leinster up to second place in the Pro 12 table, while Ulster are in fifth.
