Dublin’s Kevin O’Brien will not face reprimand over the allegations of biting Donegal’s Paddy McBrearty. A meeting of the Central Disciplinary Committee judged that the allegations against O’Brien “was not proven” and the disciplinary process was therefore at an end. O’Brien will now be eligible to face Tyrone in Sunday’s league final.
The incident was alleged to have happened during the game between Dublin and Donegal, on April 7th in Ballybofey.
The GAA released the following statement earlier today:
“Following a meeting of An Lár Choiste Éisteachta on 25ú Aibreán 2013, it was decided that on the basis of the evidence provided and the submissions made on behalf of both parties, the Infraction against Caoimhín Ó Briain (Áth Cliath) as alleged was not proven and that the Disciplinary Action against the Defending Party be at an end.”
