It's only the first week of the new year, but it looks like the January transfer window, may have already provided the most unlikely of moves.

Dean Ebbe, a striker with the Leinster Senior League's Bluebell United has joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle, in the Scottish Premiership. Ebbe, who played in the League of Ireland for the likes of Athlone Town and Longford Town will join the team as they hope to avoid relegation this season.

Ebbe only joined Bluebell in the summer after a spell with Dublin AUL-side Collinstown, but he's now set to swap Capco Park for the Caledonian Stadium in the coming days.

The 22-year-old will be joining the club, which is currently managed by Richie Foran. The former Ireland Under-21 international started his career in Dublin at Belvedere.

Inverness are currently at the foot of the Scottish Premiership, just a point behind Hamilton Academical, with 17 games left in the season.
