New Zealand have won the Rugby Championship for the third successive year with a 34-13 win over Argentina in La Plata.

The current World Cup holders won the tournament with one game to spare, thanks to tries from Israel Dagg, Julian Savea, Ben Smith and TJ Perenara. Beauden Barrett scored 14 points from the boot.

The home side had to wait until two minutes from the final whistle before scoring their only try of the game, with Horacio Agulla touching down.

Richie McCaw equalled the record for appearances in the famous back shirt, with today being his 133rd appearance for the All Blacks.

Earlier this morning South Africa beat Australia 28-10. Two tries from Jean De Villeirs and one from Pat Lambie brought the Springboks victory against the Wallabies.
