Johnny Magee, former Dublin defender and All-Ireland winner with Kilmacud Crokes, says he’ll scour the length and breadth of county Wicklow for players ahead of the 2015 season.

Magee, who was part of the backroom team under Harry Murphy last season, was announced as the new football boss yesterday.

In addition to seeking out new talent, he’s hoping one of the old guard will stay on for next season - Leighton Glynn announced his intention to only play hurling for Wicklow in 2015, but Magee is hoping he can change Glynn's mind.
