Ahead of our live Off The Ball show at The Helix last night, we remembered something Andy Cole had told us in Drogheda about a Marbella fight between his former Manchester United team-mates Gary Pallister and Roy Keane back in 1995.

Pallister was one of our special guests last night and he confirmed that not only did he and Keane come to blows, but that they also gave each other the silent treatment.

"This was called team bonding," he joked, before continuing: "We're mates [now]. But it was crazy. We didn't speak for a couple of months after that. My last year at Old Trafford, we didn't speak for the whole season because we were both stubborn. We'd had a fallout in pre-season. It was actually outside a kebab house. I think he tried to pinch my kebab, actually. But [Cole's story] is a true story and Keaney was more worried about his watch. When I tried to deflect the punch, it knocked his watch off and smashed his watch. I've seen Keaney many times since and we used to go out and socialise a bit together."
