Munster's Gerhard van den Heever is to miss the province's first two European Champions Cup matches.

The winger will not play in either Saturday's meeting with Treviso, or the following week's trip to Stade Francais after being handed a two-week ban.

Van den Heever received the ban for a dangerous tackle made in last week's win over Edinburgh that saw him sin-binned.

He has made five Guinness Pro 12 appearances this season, scoring a try in the win over Ulster two weeks ago.
