Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has admitted that the season so far has been "disappointing".
The club is struggling to qualify for next year's Champions League, let alone retain their Premier League title.
But Woodward said he is not worried about losing any of their large worldwide fan base.
He also said there is a strong possibility that David Moyes will be allowed to buy more than three players this summer.
He said: "Historically we've had roughly three purchases and three sales each year and it's possible that we would do more than that."
Speaking while discussing United's latest quarterly results, Woodward said commercial revenue was up nearly 19-per cent to £42.3 million.
