Manchester United are confident they have secured the signature of Borussia Dortmund’s highly sought after German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, according to The Sunday People.
David Moyes is reportedly confident he can add Gundogan to his singing of Juan Mata for the price of €39m, with the 23 year old set to join in the summer.
Gundogan will be entering the final year of his contract this summer and the German club are reportedly keen that they can extract the maximum transfer fee from any potential move.
Real Madrid have also shown interest in Gundogan, but injury concerns remain a factor in any potential move. Much of this season has been spent receving treatment of r a back injury.
The Daily Star reports that former Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa could make his way back to the Bundesliga side as part of the deal.
