Jose Mourinho has taken some space in today’s official match programme to send a special message to his son.
The goodwill towards Mourinho has been on the wane recently, with his sarcastic, petulant outbursts starting to grate with people who once found him a bit of pantomime escapism, but something like this won’t hurt his image.

Mourinho thanks his son "for being with me every second of every match, a few metres behind me, jumping for every goal; hurt by every difficult moment."
