Jose Mourinho's egotistical approach to management could cost him the Chelsea dressing room according to Dutch legend Johan Cruyff.
The former Barcelona and Ajax manager and player hit out at Mourinho for his public criticism of his own players and told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that putting the blame on his players is the Chelsea manager's default reaction when results go badly.
"When things are going well, it's the result of his good work, but the players are to blame when things are going badly. He already lost the dressing room at Real Madrid because of that and I can see the same happen at Chelsea," said Cruyff who was also critical of Mourinho's short-term, results-oriented philosophy.
Cruyff's comments come days after a new book made alleged revelations about Mourinho's relationship with his Real Madrid players.
In a new book called The Special One: The Dark Side Of Jose Mourinho by Diego Torres, Mourinho reportedly called his players "treacherous" and "sons of b******" during an explosive dressing room tirade.
On Off The Ball last week, John Giles suggested that Chelsea's players might not be too keen on seeing their team-mates criticized so publicly by the manager.
