According to some reports, Jose Mourinho could be sacked if Chelsea slip up against Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend and extend the crisis the club currently finds itself in.

Talk has already turned to who the London club might bring in as a long-term or interim replacement, while football writer Miguel Delaney reports that Mourinho's representatives have been sounding out Paris Saint-Germain and his former club Inter Milan.

Tonight, Miguel joined us on Off The Ball to talk about the situation.

"From what we've been told, [Roman] Abramovich is still of a mind to keep Mourinho. He wants to do it differently, he finally wants to give a manager time and for all the spin of the past few weeks, one thing Mourinho did say that was correct was that when they both met back in February on Abramovich's yacht, they did discuss that they want to do the long-term thing," he said, adding that Mourinho is "concerned about this legacy in terms of always moving away quickly. He has genuinely wanted to stay here for the long run, not least for the fact that if he does get sacked at the end of all this, it could pretty much do irreparable damage to his reputation."
