The Monaghan county board have confirmed that Malachy O'Rourke will stay on as manager.
During his four years in charge O'Rourke has won two Ulster titles as well as Division 2 and 3 titles.
The Farney men will play in Division 1 again next season having stayed up this year.
"Following a period of reflection after Monaghan’s early exit from the championship this year Malachy O'Rourke has confirmed that he will continue as Monaghan GAA senior men’s manager for a 5th successive season. Malachy and his backroom team are looking forward to the challenges a new season will bring," the Monaghan county board said in a statement.
