The cast of popular UK period drama, Downton Abbey, have been banned from bringing any modern items to set.
The ban comes as a result of the water bottle incident, in which a plastic water battle appeared in the background of a promotion photograph for the Victorian drama.
'Modern watches and jewellery are out and so even is designer underwear, as the danger is apparently too great if, say a chap bent over,' a source told the Daily Telegraph.
'They have relented in the case of prescription glasses and asthma guns, but that’s about it.'
The cast's excellent response to the incident and attempt to use the attention to raise money for water aid, gained them great support online, but the ban remains in place.
“It was a silly mistake, of course, and I suppose someone will be blown up for it, but if the cast can turn it around and actually help to raise some money for such a terrific cause, then I’m glad it happened. Victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.”
