Ireland's Michael Conlan now knows who he will be facing in the last-16 of the Rio 2016 Bantamweight division.

The gold medal hope is up against Aram Avagyan of Armenia at about 3.30pm, Irish time, on Sunday.

Avagyan defeated Arashi Morisaka of Japan in his opening fight to set up the match-up with Conlan.

The Irish fighter won world championship gold at bantamweight level in Doha in 2015 when Avagyan failed to advance from the opening round.
