Rory McIlroy has charged to the summit at the Dubai Desert Classic after a brilliant 8-under second round.
The Ulsterman fired eight birdies, including three in his final three holes at Emirates Golf Club, to leapfrog Scotland's Marc Warren into top spot on 14-under.
Meanwhile, Graeme McDowell is two shots away from his compatriot after a 65 on day two, while Peter Lawrie ended above the projected cut on 2-under.
