Floyd Mayweather has announced his retirement after he managed to equal the record of former heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record.

Although he has announced his retirement before and made a comeback, Mayweather insists he's done.

"My career is over, that's official," he said.

“You’ve got no one to hang it up, so I think it’s about time for me to hang it up. I’m not going to be doing it now. I’m close to 40 years old, I’ve been in this sport 19 years, been world champion for 18 years, I’ve broken all records."

Mayweather easily defeated fellow American Andre Berto on Saturday with a unanimous decision, 118-110, 117-111 and 120-108 on the ringside cards.
