It is almost a full 12 months since Matt O'Connor was confirmed as Leinster head coach and this weekend he is facing up to arguably the biggest match of his tenure.
Leinster take on reigning Heineken Cup champions Toulon in the quarter finals and ahead of that clash, the Australian joined us on the line.
"The margins are going to be so tight on Sunday," O'Connor admitted to Ger.
"We've got the utmost respect for Toulon as a group and they're probably rightly favourites. But we're ready for the battle. It's our job now to do everything that we can to make sure that we're up for the physical and the mental challenge of going to a place like Toulon and getting a result."
O'Connor also spoke about the importance of managing the "away factor" given Toulon's record on their home turf and how he hopes to keep Leinster's Six Nations-winning players on the right track mentally.
And O'Connor reckons last week's derby against Munster was the best form of preparation for such a big match.
"Thankfully we had a pretty tasty reintegration at the Aviva. The atmosphere is huge and it gets the best out of people. The intensity that Munster brought is the perfect dress rehearsal for this weekend to be honest."
