Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has admitted that there is a danger of Jon Walters leaving the club.
The Ireland striker, who scored in the penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, was linked with a move away in the January transfer window, although no exit materialised.
But Hughes has not dismissed the possibility that the player with four goals in eight games in all competitions this season could still depart.
"There is a danger that we could lose Jon, but that isn't what I want and it isn't what he wants," said Hughes, although he added that there is scope to sit back down.

MH on Walters' contract situation: We'd love to come to a satisfactory conclusion. I'm hopeful that we can sit down & sort it out. #scfc
