Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers says Manchester City's situation doesn't make too much difference to them and their pursuit of Champions League football next season

City have been hit with a two-year ban from European club competitions for breaching financial regulations but Rodgers is more concerned with his own team.

"It doesn’t make much difference to ourselves, our focus is to try to finish as high as we can. That assessment will take place at the end of the season," the former Liverpool and Celtic boss said after the Foxes' nil-nil draw with Wolves last night.

“These players have been amazing, up until now, with 12 games to go, where they sit, they’ve done brilliantly.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do. There’s still 36 points, so we’ve got to keep pushing and keep working.

“The break benefitted us, we’ve come back and showed a good energy, but we had to dig in. It sets up now for the remainder of the season.

“Man City’s issue, whatever that may be, that’s nothing really for us. We’ve just got to keep pushing for ourselves.

Third-place Leicester hold an 11-point cushion over fifth-placed Sheffield United in the race for the Champions League places following last night's stalemate with Wolves.
