Manchester City are still in the driving seat for qualification to next season's Champions League.

They beat West Brom 3-1 in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium to stay ahead of Arsenal, who were 2-0 winners over relegated Sunderland.

Pep Guardiola's side are three points ahead of Arsene Wenger's men with one game to go.

City are now on 75 points, three points clear of Arsenal and two ahead of Liverpool.

Their goal difference is also superior to the fifth and fourth placed teams.

City's goal difference stands at +36, while Liverpool are on +33 and Arsenal on +31.

A sizeable goal difference swing in the final week of action would be needed for Arsenal and City to swap places in the table.

A point on the final day against Watford away from home would be enough to definitely make sure that City finish above Arsenal, thereby securing a Top Four place.

Arsenal and Liverpool take on Everton and Middlesbrough respectively on the final day this Sunday.

Tonight, the City goals were scored by Gabriel Jesus, Kevin de Bruyne and Yaya Toure to put Guardiola's side in control before Wales international Hal Robson Kanu scored a late consolation for ninth place West Brom with three minutes to go.

The match also featured the final home game for long time City right back Pablo Zabaleta who has become a popular figure among supporters after nine years and more than 200 league appearances since signing from Espanyol in 2008.
