Manchester City have struck-up a partnership with the New York Yankees that will see them set-up the 20th franchise in Major League Soccer.
New York City FC will join the league in 2015 and will compete with the New York Red Bulls for local support.
It has been reported that a new stadium will be built in Flushing Meadows in Queens.

In 2010, the famous New York Cosmos which featured Pele and Franz Beckenbauer was revived and are set to play in the second-tier North American Soccer League this year.
