Manchester City have finally appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their first team manager. 

The Chilean has signed a three year contract, and will start his job on June 24th.

Pellegrini led Malaga to the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season. 

He succeeds Roberto Mancini, who was sacked a month ago. 

Malaga also named Pellegrini's successor hours earlier, with Bernd Schuster taking over at La Rosaleda.
