Manchester City have won the first major trophy of the season, beating Sunderland 3-1 in the League Cup final at Wembley.

Manuel Pellegrini's side fought back from a goal down to stay on course for a domestic treble.

Sunderland had the better first half and were ahead after ten minutes thanks to Fabio Borini.

However Gus Poyet's side were undone in two second-half minutes thanks to excellent goals from Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri.

Jesus Navas put the icing on the cake with a third in the 90th minute.
