UEFA has revealed 76 clubs playing in European competition this season are being investigated for possible breaches of its Financial Fair Play rules.
Manchester City and Chelsea are believed to be among the clubs involved. UEFA will publicize the list of teams who will face punishments in April.
It means a third of all teams involved in continental competition face a range of sanctions including an enforced salary cap, and expulsion from future European competition.
