Manager Malky Mackay has been sacked by Cardiff City.
After much speculation about his future, the Scot was removed from his position less than 24 hours after a 3 - 0 home Premier League loss to Southampton.
The club say a new manager will be appointed "in due course".
Mackay had earned a brief respite at the start of the week after owner Vincent Tan had issued him with an ultimatum.
The controversial Malaysian billionaire demanded that Mackay resign or face the sack after disagreements over the club's spending policy in January.
Newly promoted Cardiff are 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.
