For a week things looked promising. But European ties are played over two legs and thus Sligo Rovers and St Patricks Athletic ended up losing their second leg European ties against Rosenborg and Legia Warsaw respectively.

It means all four Irish sides in Europe are out of the Champions League and Europa League and for Stuart Byrne it "highlights where we're lacking" in terms of defending and concentration levels.

He also believes it is a "mentality issue" at this moment in time.

Roddy Collins also joined us on the show and he and Stuey also discussed what former Shamrock Rovers, Cork City and Shelbourne manager will bring to the table as he takes on the position at Drogheda United. 

"I think it's a really good appointment. At this stage there's a lot of young coaches but if you want stability and security go for the older man and the man with the experience," said Roddy, while Stuey highlighted his experience in England and the fact that he has won every trophy available domestically.
