A Liverpool XI will play in Ireland next month, taking on both Cork City and Waterford United in a pre-season friendly series.

Cork City will host Brendan Rodgers side on 11 July at Turners Cross, before last year’s Premier League runners-up take the trip to face Waterford six days later.

Regardless of the strength of the squad, the matches will sure to be sell-outs due to the massive following of the Merseyside club.
