An epic Merseyside Derby has come to a close in the day's opening Premier League game.

It has finished Everton 3, Liverpool 3, after an action-packed 90 minutes.

There were three goals in the opening 20 minutes, which left Liverpool leading 2-1- Coutinho and Suarez netting for Liverpool and Mirallas scoring for Everton.

Two Lukaku Livergoals late in the game looked to have given the Blues the win, but Daniel Sturridge equalised with just minutes remaining to share the spoils.

The point keeps Liverpool in second place and moves Everton into fifth place ahead of Manchester United. Arsenal remain in the lead with 25 points, just ahead of Liverpool's 24.

Man of the match Lukaku was disappointed that his Everton side didn't claim all three points.
