Liverpool have been granted planning permission to expand Anfield.
The City Council voted in favour of their plans to expand the main stand by another 8,500 seats at a planning meeting earlier today.
It would take the capacity of the stadium to 54,000, making it the third largest in the Premier League after Old Trafford and the Emirates.
Work could begin as early as 2016, with projected images of the proposed new design published in April.
