Ex-Leeds, Real Madrid and Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate will join Liverpool as a scout.
The former defender, who was highly-rated but had a career ravaged by injury, will work on the club's scouting team in continental Europe.
The BBC report that he will mostly be working on scouting players in Spain where he played for Real Madrid between 2004 and 2007.

The Middlesbrough-born 36-year-old, who finished his playing career at his hometown club, left Boro in May after Premier League promotion was achieved.
