Sean O'Brien sat down with Dave McIntyre on Off The Ball to chat about Ireland's tattered World Cup dreams and his take on events that saw him suspended for Ireland Wold Cup Quarter-Final loss to Argentina.

The Leinster flanker is hugely disappointed by the events that unfolded but he didn't hold back in his criticism of Pascal Pape, feeling that his fellow professional went down far too easy.

Speaking about his punch on Pape, O'Brien said: "I didn't think it was as much as he made it out to be as. Obviously I had hit him in the stomach but it was one of those things where he was holding onto me and trying to pull me into the ruck.

"I wouldn't have went down like that anyways and I wouldn't have stayed down for five minutes while the play was going on like I had a broken leg," he added.

O'Brien also spoke about the hearing and Pape's account of events.

"Obviously I shouldn't have done what I done but he has to be as honest as possible about it rather than giving them a spiel and throw the toys out of the pram. They made a good song and dance about it anyway."

Leinster and Leo

The Tullow Tank also spoke about how he is looking forward to get back playing with Leinster, re-integrating with the squad and what he thinks about his former team mate Leo Cullen being his new head coach.

"I'm really looking forward to playing with Leinster again. He [Cullen] knows how to be a coach rather than a colleague and its different for him and its different for us and we have to respect Leo as a coach.

"We know he's all about business and what he expects from us is what we expect to deliver," O'Brien said.
