Michael Laudrup has ruled himself out of the running to become the new manager at QPR.

The former Swansea boss had been one of the favourites to replace Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road.

But Laudrup's agent says his client has no intention of leaving his current club, Lekhwiya in Qatar, for the moment at least.

"It is always positive to be linked with big jobs and taking over one of the biggest teams in Asia [Japan] or QPR are big jobs," he said.

"But, having said that, I would also like to say that I have no intention to leave Lekhwiya at the moment. We are top of the league and are starting the group phase of the Champions League in two weeks."

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes seems to have identified his "dream" manager already, going by his tweets:
