Lar Corbett has become the latest Tipperary hurler to announce his inter-county retirement.

The 2010 Hurler of the Year has become the fourth member of the Tipp panel to announce his departure in the space of the past week.

After 15 years at senior level, in which time he won two All-Ireland titles, the 34-year-old corner forward says that the time is now right for him to quit the panel.

The Thurles Sarsfields club man famously scored a hat-trick of goals in Tipp's 2010 All-Ireland final success over Kilkenny.

Corbett's announcement follows the retirements for Shane McGrath, Conor O'Mahony and James Woodlock, who have also quit Michael Ryan's panel in the space of the last few days.
