Frank Lampard's loan spell at Manchester City has been extended from January into February.
It is believed that City want to hold on to the former Chelsea midfielder to act as cover for Yaya Touré when the Ivorian departs for the African Cup of Nations which is helf from January 17th to February 8th.
Lampard, who is on loan from City's sister club New York City, scored the equaliser in Sunday's draw with his former club Chelsea.

The former England midfielder joined New York City during the summer after 13 years at Stamford Bridge.
