Well, that was not the worst point in the world, if you're looking at it from an Arsenal point of view.

The Gunners appeared to be on the ropes at times at 1-0 down in yesterday's North London derby but amid a lengthy injury list and the psychological scars of a hiding inflicted by Bayern Munich in midweek, to their credit they fought back to earn a point against an impressive Spurs side heading in the right direction.

Tottenham's pressing was an expected part of the game, but what they appeared to do was squeeze Arsenal's middle third, particularly targeting an ill Santi Cazorla with Moussa Dembele especially tigerish.

Yet Erik Lamela's work-rate is a bigger example of the change that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is forging at the club and Lamela made an outstanding 12 attempted tackles during the game, with 50 per cent successful:

The challenge for Lamela now is to build on that and show the side of his game that he was more famous for, namely the attacking threat he was capable of at AS Roma.

Meanwhile, Chelsea did not play badly yet still came out on the wrong side of a result at Stoke. The defending for Marko Arnautovic's goal was poor, but the Blues do have issues at the other end.

Width is a problem that has been pointed out before, and it was lacking again, especially from full-backs Cesar Azpilicueta and Baba Rahman who failed to provide a single chance between them, nor attempt a single cross.

Of course, they also had to deal with the threat of Stoke's wingers as Xherdan Shaqiri proved to be a handful for Rahman.

Incredibly, 10 of the 18 attempted Chelsea crosses in the game came from the boot of Willian, one of the few players to have performed consistently (well!) for Jose Mourinho this season.
